Affordable Summer Bedding

I am sharing some affordable summer bedding finds that compliment cottagecore style and refresh your bedroom for the season.

If you are new to this blog: Welcome! My name is Anna and I share information on collecting antique/vintage items, refurbishing furniture and making small crafts/projects. The purpose of this blog is to show you how to use creativity and vintage items to make your home beautiful. In addition to information on the blog, you can also follow me on the following social media accounts InstagramFacebook or Pinterest.

Changing your bedding to reflect the season is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to refresh your bedroom. Swapping out heavy comforters or down-filled duvets for light weight quilts keeps you cooler at night. Similarly, integrating floral patterns and soft summer colors into your bedding is a fun way to incorporate the season into your home decor.

Below are some of the most charming and affordable bedding finds. All items are available from Marshalls and qualify for free shipping on orders $89 or more. Simply use code “SHIP89” upon checkout.

One of my favorite ways to infuse bedding with character and charm is to mix and match patterns, colors, and textures. Rather than having everything match, I will combine sheets, quilts and duvet covers. Here are a few trips for mixing and matching bedding.

  • Mix stripes or gingham patterns with a floral pattern
  • Add a solid color quilt or duvet cover
  • Combine large scale floral patterns with small ditsy floral patterns
  • Incorporate linen duvet covers or fuzzy blankets to add texture

Summer Sheets

These summer sheet sets are perfect for mixing and matching

Cabbage & Roses is a British company that creates the most adorable cottagecore style bedding and has long been a favorite of mine. The striped sheet set would go well with almost any summer quilt.

All sheet sets above are 100 percent cotton and are available in twin, queen and king sizes. However, these will sell out quickly. (Especially the King size sheets)

Summer Quilts

In April, I usually stow away our down comforter and use a quilt instead. The quilts below are perfect for mixing and matching bedding.

Quilts with patterns on both sides are particularly useful when mixing and matching your bedding. For example, the pink or blue Rachel Zoe quilts would be charming paired with the pink or blue Cabbages & Roses sheets.

  1. These are all fantastic options, Anna. I’m usually a white sheets only kind of girl, but I’ve really been enjoying mixing prints lately, so thank you for the extra tips. They really do add such a fun, whimsical style to any room. Thanks for making shopping easy! Hugs, CoCo
