With Valentine’s Day around the corner and many of us not able or willing to eat out at a restaurant, I wanted to give you some ideas for gifts to celebrate the occasion.
These vintage gifts are generally less than $50. They are also great for your Mom, Grandma or sister.
No surprise here- New Old Stock vintage Valentine’s top the list. Timeless, charming and with such limited quantities available- it’s a very thoughtful gesture.

Also, French torchons or any Métis or heavy linen towel makes a great gift. Especially when paired with a special soap and lotion. Again, since these towels were made long ago and are great quality – they make meaningful gifts.

Another idea for Valentine’s Day is to use a vintage candy tin and fill it with wrapped candy. You can use mini chocolate bars, wrapped gummy hearts, carmels, etc. You can also fill the tin with cookies.
The tins can be saved and used for storing and organizing items. I use mine to keep my sewing items organized.

Finally, you can’t go wrong with buying an ironstone or stoneware vessel and filling it with flowers. The age, character and collectible nature of these vessels makes them very much appreciated by those receiving them as gifts.
