The fresh finds for this month are going to be divided up into a couple of posts because there were two categories of items. The first are the items shown here and the other I selected with Valentine’s Day in mind.
As you can see, I found the cutest little chalkware puppy. He is painted with such detail and care. I love this little scuff marks on his ears.
I also came across this beautiful antique gilded frame. It is chippy but in a good way that adds the perfect amount of character and authenticates its age. It looks great with dried flowers or any paper ephemera inside.
Do you see the black vase with the metal flowers in it? That is made of heavy metal! I believe it’s cast-iron. It is a heavy little piece and I love how unusual it is. Wouldn’t it look great on a coffee table topping off a stack of books?
Finally, the little candy dish with gold trim was too good to pass up. These always look great on shelves and are so practical. Aside from storing candy, they can hold a myriad of small trinkets. (Think- matchbooks, thumb tacks, rubber bands, small batteries, etc)
All of these items have been brought to Stone Soup. I will fill you in with more of the January finds in my next post.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today!
