Fall Fresh Finds

I can not believe that October is already half over.  During the past week, I have been busy collecting new finds.  I wanted to share with you some of the things I found.

As you can see, there is a sweet little vintage oil painting.  This is my favorite find.  I also came across some really fun vintage brushes.  There were three large professional grade paint brushes with natural fibers.  As well as two smaller brushes.  The round brush is made with boars hair so it is super soft.

If you have followed me for any amount of time, you know that my favorite vintage and antique items are those that are made by hand.  These little stoneware bottles are definitely made by hand.  They are perfect for Fall and for bringing warmth and character into a room.

Of course, I had to get some more antler sheds given that it’s autumn. These are truly beautiful and are a generous size.  I love the texture they add.  Often times, I will incorporate them into a table center piece or into a shelf.

Also, on the handmade front – the “Trinkets” sign was painted by hand.  I loved the colors and the charm of it.  I like to think it was used at a Fair or some event where there were games and people had fun.

There were also a couple other items – but I was unable to photograph them due to their size.  For example, I also found a postage stamp quilt that was made in the early 1940s.  So stay tuned.  You may find photos of these items pop up in a future post.
