I am astounded that a year has flown by.  It may sound trite to make such a statement but it truly reflects how I feel.  It still seems as though we should be in May of 2019.  However, when I glance out the window at the snow and garden in a slumber, I am fully aware of the presence of time.

In the coming year of 2020, we have some goals for Sky Lark House and we hope you will be a part of them.  In this post, I am sharing our plans for the coming year.

First, we plan to participate in 2 markets this year.  One will be in the Summer and the other in the Fall.  My favorite part about these markets is meeting all of you.  It’s so energizing to talk with you and share ideas.  Although I will still sell some authentic farmhouse finds at the markets, my focus will be on items that I make myself.  For example; refurbished furniture and pillows from vintage textiles. I may also start to offer some handmade cards… we will see.

Here are some of the items you may see at the markets:

Second, we also plan to continue to stock and update the Sky Lark House booth at Stone Soup Antiques Gallery in Ballston Spa.  Please note, that because this is curated high end antique gallery, only authentic farmhouse finds will be offered there.  However, you will find usual Sky Lark House staples like ironstone, stoneware, vintage bottles, architectural salvage and old handmade signs.

Here are some items in the booth:

Third, I plan to continue to post on this blog and via Instagram on a regular basis.  You all have given me so much feedback via these avenues of communication and on the whole it is all really positive.  You like the photos being posted and the information shared. Thank you again for all your comments. I truly appreciate them because they help me to serve you better.

Fourth, my goal in the coming year is to revamp the online store.  Although sales have been steady, I find that with shipping costs and the cost of buying inventory- it isn’t all that profitable given the time I invest.  So, I may switch the online store format to listing items that are easier and less expensive to ship.

Well, it looks as though 2020 will be busy. Stay tuned as I plan to share more information about the markets and the items I will sell there. Of course, I will also keep you updated on the contents of the booth too.

Happy New Year to you and your families from Sky Lark House!
