Home Imagined Link Party #19

by | May 30, 2023 | Home Imagined Link Party | 9 comments

Welcome to the Home Imagined Link Party #19 where the purpose of this party is to share ideas and inspiration related to the home.

Please welcome TWO new hostesses to our link party! Melanie from Lost & Found Decor and MaryJo from Master “Pieces” of my Life have joined our link party. We are beyond excited to have them participate in sharing their projects and in featuring the posts you share with us.

So, now, we are FOUR ladies who are passionate about all things related to the home. This includes refurbishing furniture, collecting vintage items, and decorating for the seasons. We also love a good DIY project, crafting and gardening.

We hope that you can share similar posts with others in this link party since the goal is that we all share ideas, read one another’s posts and get inspired.

Our party starts at Tuesday, 9 am Eastern time and ends the following Friday at 5 pm Eastern time. We host the party every other Tuesday. Each hostess will select two posts to feature at the next link party. That means we will have a total of 8 features!

Rachel shared a post on styling and decor tips for townhome patios. She offers some great tips for cleaning, buying plants and enjoying your patio. Rachel also has a post on decorating with enamelware. With summer’s arrival many of us are using enamelware and incorporating it into our decor. (Like the bowl holding the potato salad at the next family picnic)

The posts I am sharing this week includes a post on creating an upcycled potting bench. This post was written as part of a blog hop with the ladies who host the Fabulous Friday link party. So in addition to my post, you will see links to other fabulous gardening ideas. Also, I am sharing the backstory on how Mr. SLH and I acquired an antique cupboard and then I share some tips for styling an antique cupboard with ironstone.

MaryJo

MaryJo from MasterPieces of My Life loves all things that are weathered, tattered, tarnished, rusted, faded, shabby, & distressed because they have a story to tell. You can follow her on any of these social media platforms.

MaryJo has a post on a spring nesting tablescape. Her post is filled with inspiration and charming ideas. She is also sharing her collection of thrifted salt and pepper shakers. You have to see the amazing collection of salt and pepper shakers she has cultivated over the years!

Melanie

Melanie from Lost & Found Decor has a lot of experience with making over cast-off furniture and hunting through thrift and vintage stores to find affordable and unique things. She was so successful in her endeavors that she turned her passions into a business.

Melanie has a thriving YouTube channel that I encourage you to check out. She offers a lot of free advice on how to have a profitable vintage/antique booth. She also takes you along as she hunts for treasures.

In addition to her YouTube channel, you can follow Melanie on any of these social media platforms.

This week Melanie is sharing 10 tips for styling flat lay photos. If you spend any amount of time behind a camera, then you know how difficult it can be to photograph a flat lay. Apparently, the summer gardening bug has reached Melanie because she also has a post on making an easy upcycled potting bench! She spruced her cabinet up by using some fusion mineral paint and it looks great!

THIS WEEK’S FEATURES

Each of us both selected 2 posts to feature from the previous link party. Below are two of my selected features. Head on over to Rachel’s, MaryJo’s and Melanie’s blogs to see the other folks who are featured.
