Welcome to the Home Imagined Link Party #34 where the purpose of this party is to share ideas and inspiration related to the home.
We are four ladies who are passionate about all things related to the home. This includes refurbishing furniture, collecting vintage items, and decorating for the seasons. We also love crafting, gardening and a good DIY project.
We hope that you can share similar posts with others in this link party since the goal is that we all share ideas, read one another’s posts, leave comments and get inspired.
Our party starts at Tuesday, 9 am Eastern time and ends the following Friday at 5 pm Eastern time. We host the party every other Tuesday. Each hostess will select two posts to feature at the next link party. That means we will have a total of 8 features!
Let me introduce you to your hostesses.

Rachel from The Antiqued Journey is passionate about antiques and thrift stores. Her blog is full of inspiration showing her latest finds and how she incorporates them into her decor.
You can follow Rachel on the following social media platforms:
Rachel shares how to decorate for winter in her post winter basket decor with birch logs. It’s a perfect way to transition away from Christmas but still have your home decorated for winter.
She is also reflecting on the importance of being present in the moment. This is particularly true after she had an unexpectedly rough holiday.
If you are reading this on the Sky Lark House blog, then you already know who I am. I refurbish furniture, share information about vintage/ antique items and share small crafts. You can follow me on any of these social media platforms.
Now that winter has officially arrived, I am busy forcing bulbs so that I will have paperwhites, amaryllis and other flowers blooming in 6 weeks. If you aren’t familiar with the term “forcing bulbs” it simply means that you are getting the bulbs to bloom earlier than normal. Here is a post on forcing bulbs during winter.
This time of year is perfect for working on upholstery projects. Here is a post on how to upholster a bench, which is a perfect project for beginners.
MaryJo from MasterPieces of My Life loves all things that are weathered, tattered, tarnished, rusted, faded, shabby, & distressed because they have a story to tell. You can follow her on any of these social media platforms.
MaryJo is ringing in the New Year sharing her top 10 posts from 2023. As a blogger, I am always surprised to see which of my posts are the most popular.
In preparation for Valentine’s Day, MaryJo also has a post on how to set a red and neutral valentine’s table. She offers some great ideas, tips and inspiration.
Melanie from Lost & Found Decor has a lot of experience with refurbishing cast-off furniture and hunting through thrift and vintage stores to find affordable and unique things. She was so successful in her endeavors that she turned her passion into a business.
Melanie has a thriving YouTube channel that I encourage you to check out. She offers a lot of free advice on how to have a profitable vintage/antique booth. She also takes you along as she hunts for treasures.
In addition to her YouTube channel, you can follow Melanie on any of these social media platforms.
As usual, Melanie has some great posts to share with us. If you don’t know, she shares her advice on how to run a profitable antiques booth, as exemplified in her post 5 Ways to Make More Money This Year from Your Antique Booth.
She also walks you through the process of updating your fireplace mantel with paint. It’s amazing how a little paint can transform a room and a fireplace. I love this quote from her post: “That’s one thing I’ve learned about DIY decorating over the years– sometimes you just have to step out and try something new, and remember that the consequences are really no more serious than just trying again.”
THIS WEEK’S FEATURES
You may recall, we took a break over the holiday and this is our first link party of the year. We want to honor the projects that were submitted during our last link party in December. As such, these features will be focused on Christmas and the Holiday Season. Our hope, is that you can save some of these ideas for December 2024.
Nicole from Our Tiny Nest is always super creative. She shared the idea for an at home movie night basket, which is perfect if you have small children.
Shelley from Calypso in the Country shared some great ideas for how to decorate a coffee table for Christmas. Her tips and ideas are easy and affordable to implement.
