There are some people whom I have been following for years that I feel like I personally know. Amanda Gorby of Amanda’s Mercantile is one such person. I first stumbled upon her Instagram account in 2017 – you can find her @amandasmercantile. She is “a creative” entrepreneur and business owner.
In addition to running an antique booth, working as a real estate agent, writing blog posts, and making YouTube Videos she also refurbishes furniture. Wow! That’s a lot.
She has had a booth at the Factory Antique Mall in Virginia for the last 6 years. In addition to selling very stylish vintage and antique items, she also sells her refurbished furniture. Her most recent project was a makeover of an armoire. She hand painted the scroll motif on the inside of the armoire.

She also refurbished this pine dresser. Trust me when you look at the “before” photos in the blog post about this piece, you will be shocked.

As another demonstration of Amanda’s artistic abilities and talents, check out this blog post on how she refurbished this dresser. It is a stunning piece of furniture.
