In this post, I introduce you to the amazing woman behind Timber and Ivory and share with you some of the pillows she makes by hand.

A quick note that this post includes affiliate links and I will receive a commission but at no additional cost to you. I am presenting you with my own opinion and honest review of the information provided. If you want to read the entire disclosure statement, please click HERE.

If you are new around here, welcome! Every now and then, I love to share with you a creative soul who makes and sells items by hand. In a world of mass produced items, I feel like the quality, beauty and uniqueness of handmade items gets lost in the shuffle. Generally, handmade items endure the passage of trends, hold up to the wear and tear of every day use and get better with age. It’s also worth noting, that by purchasing an item from some one who makes their wares by hand, you are supporting a creative soul with a small business.

About Timber and Ivory

Timber and Ivory

Today, I want to introduce you to Deniene who lives in St. Albert, Canada. She is one of the few people I know who, like me, still has to worry about snow in the month of April. I “met” Deniene on Instagram and immediately loved her work and sense of style.

Instagram

You can see her instagram account at @TimberandIvory to see her work and learn more about her. Her photography is amazing and I love that she always puts quotes into her IG posts. Her most recent quote was:

“The world calls them its singers and poets and artists and storytellers; but they are just people who have never forgotten the way to fairyland”

L.M. Montgomery

Heck, It’s worth following Deniene on Instagram just to see the quotes she shares. Here is another favorite:

“Love is a fire. But whether it is going to warm your hearth or burn down your house, you can never tell”

Joan Crawford

Deniene primarily sews pillow covers, in some stunning fabrics. However, she has been known to flex her creative sewing skills to sew heart garlands, tiny stockings, and ruffle edged tea towels.

Etsy

You can purchase items sewn by Deniene from her Etsy shop Timber and Ivory where she is identified as a star seller with some sterling reviews. She currently has 40 plus pillows, in a variety of patterns, available for purchase. She also has a few fabric hearts remaining for sale. Here is a listing of some her pillows.

Considering each for her pillows is sewn by hand, her prices are very reasonable. I also love the patterns she selects, many of which are reflective of the season.

Other Meet the Makers

If you like this series and want to read about other creative souls who are making items by hand and selling them – here are posts you might like to read.

All of these women make some amazing and unique items that are exceptional quality. At the very least, give them a follow on Instagram!

Summary

Thank you for stopping by the blog today! I hope you found some inspiration. I also hope that you don’t need to worry about getting more snow in the month of April. I mean really, my poor daffodils have had enough of the snow.
