It has been a busy summer and early fall, with numerous changes on the horizon.
If you are new to the blog, here is a summary of the changes we expect in the next 30 days or less.
First, Sky Lark House is located within Stone Soup Antiques, which is located in Ballston Spa, NY. At the end of this month, Stone Soup Antiques is moving to 2144 Doubleday Ave., which is at the corner of Route 50 and Saratoga Ave. The new location is only 5 minutes away from the previous building. This is an exciting change but will require a bit of packing, moving, unpacking and setting up the new booth.
Second, at the same time, Mr. SLH and myself could be moving into our new home. Since June of 2020, we have been living in an apartment (that has lots and lots and lots of stairs) while our new home is being constructed. We are hoping that in the next 30 days or so we will be moving into our new home. This is also a blessing but will require packing up the apartment, moving to the new house, moving items out of storage and unpacking everything in the new home.
While both of these changes are energizing and will ultimately be for the best, in the interim things will be a little crazy. For example, keeping my current booth re-stocked with inventory between now and the end of the month will be a challenge. Also, working on furniture and posting “before” and “after” transformations will be a challenge. Finally, it will take some time to get up and running and established in both locations.
So, I am asking for your patience as we go through this double transition period.
In the meantime, here is a look at some furniture finds and transformations that took place in this apartment during the last 5 months.
