We are so eager to have Spring arrive here in upstate New York. Given that it is March, we have had some beautiful weather. The birds are finally returning and singing in the morning.
All of this Spring weather reminded me that I needed to update my booth at Stone Soup Antiques to reflect the current season. So “good bye” pine cones and “hello” birds’ nests and florals. We spent the better part of the weekend doing a booth refresh.
One of the best parts about having a booth is the creative outlet it offers with the need to periodically redesign and refresh how it looks. It is so much fun to move things around and bring in new items. Time quickly flies by when I am rearranging the booth.
So first off, you may notice the step back cupboard! This was found in an old Lake House and the cupboard looks to be built by hand. My guess is that it was constructed somewhere between 1950- 1960.
I also added more of the French kitchen towels. They are so cheerful with their red stripes and generous size.
Hiding beneath those cutting boards is a bistro chair. Actually, I have a pair of them and they are from France. They are vintage but I am not sure of their exact age. They have the best patina and I love how they fold up so compactly. Another bonus is that they are light weight.
The pair of stools I recently found have also made their way to the booth! Here is one of them peeking out from underneath an enamel top table.
So, if you are in the area of Ballston Spa, New York, stop by Stone Soup Antiques and say hello. There are also many other amazing vendors in the shop!
