As you may have noticed, I’ve been missing my booth at Stone Soup Antiques. The last time I had been here was early March. Typically, I stop by once a week to restock with new inventory and to do some “booth fluffing”. Booth fluffing is where I move inventory around to create new vignettes and fill holes for items that have sold. Every three months or so I try to infuse a whole new feel to reflect the coming season.
All of my inventory in the basement is organized by season. It’s just easier for me to find items and inspiration when I think in terms of seasons. Visually, it helps me understand where I need to stock up. So for example, I really need to focus on acquiring inventory for the fall because things in the basement look a little sparse.
Since I have been selling exclusively online, I had the opportunity to go into Stone Soup to pick up some items that had sold. It was so nice to be there again, even if it was unusually quiet and empty. Because no one was around, I was finally able to take some photos using my good camera. In the past, I could only use my iPhone because customers were wandering around.
So, while I was there, I took some photos to share with you. I also made a very short little video of the booth in preparation for the Brimfield LIVE event on May 12th which is being held via Facebook live.
Without further ado, here are the photos of the booth. You might recognize a few items . . .
Thank you for stopping by the blog today. It always makes me happy that you take time out of your busy day to check on this corner of the internet.
