At the end of June, I went to Maine to gather up more Farmhouse Finds. Trips to Maine are always fun because I get to see family, visit some of my favorite places and spend at least a few minutes at the beach.
When looking for items for Sky Lark House, I sometimes visit old homes, antique stores and markets. My favorite find from this past trip was definitely this set of brown transferware dishes. The pattern is so gorgeous and its simplicity is striking. Transferware is so timeless and it really works for any occasion.
Turner Brown Transferware Dishes
With this particular set, I thought it would be beautiful to use in the Fall. This set was made between 1850 and 1890 by Turner. It always amazes me that things can last so long and look so beautiful. These dishes are at least 120 years old!
