Summer Favorites- Beach Living Finds

This article shares some of my summer favorite finds for beach living- with a focus on a popular summer activity going to the shore.

Back Story

A couple of weeks ago, I shared with you that I went on family vacation in Nantucket. That trip has influenced my entire summer. I am always looking for ways to recapture the feeling associated with our time on the island. When I lived in Maine, weekly trips to the beach were part of my summer routine. In fact, I kept a fully stocked beach bag and folding chair in the trunk of my car the entire season. So, in a moment’s notice, I was ready to head off to the beach. Today, I am sharing some of my favorite “beach living” finds with you.

Beach Gear

If you have to walk to the beach or if you need to park at a distance from the beach, this little collapsible cart is a god send. It’s especially useful if you are going to the beach with children. It can also be used if you are attending a parade, going to a picnic, or even going to a farmers market.

This Tommy Bahama chair with a built-in umbrella is also a must have! It also comes in a cute jellyfish pattern.

Beach Accessories

First off, I love the Eva waterproof tote bag! I fill it with all my beach necessities. The BEST part is that it can be hosed off, washed, rinsed etc. If you spill coffee on the bag – no problem. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Perhaps the lid on your sunscreen came loose and now you have lotion ALL over the inside of your bag. 🙋🏼‍♀️ No problem.

I am not sure if lip balm is considered an accessory. Nonetheless, this Burts Bees lip balm with SPF 30 is something I keep in my bag. The Southern Tide quick dry towel is another accessory I pack in my beach bag to always be ready.

This straw clutch is classy and beachy at the same time.

Beach House Decor

It wouldn’t be summer without at least a nod to the ocean, beach, and coast in our homes. Here are two beautiful coffee table books focused on coastal living. The first, is by Bunny Williams entitled House by the Sea. The second, is entitled Life Around the Sea and captures coastal life in Australia.

I love this “oysters in a dish” candle and the woven tray with the scalloped edges. This place mat and this place mat are charming! The beaded detail is a nice touch.

Finally, while not officially a beach item, this framed image of a fern frond fit the vibe and was such a great statement piece.

Summary (Summery?)

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you found some summer inspiration. If and when you go to the beach, I hope it creates life long memories of a glorious summer.
