The Best Online Antiques

by | Jan 14, 2021 | Farmhouse Finds | 0 comments

With the pandemic in full force and most of us being confined to our homes, I thought it would be beneficial to share some of my favorite online antique stores.  These are stores where I have purchased items in the past and stores that have inventory I love.  Some of these merchants exist in brick and mortar while others are exclusively online.

So, let’s get started.

Elsie Green

This little shop has the best farmhouse French inventory.  They are located in California but I have ordered a number of items from them for myself and as gifts for others. The photos of their products are stunning.  I don’t know who their photographer is, but they deserve a raise. They have products from France that include furniture, ironstone, paintings, mirrors and stoneware. The inventory is drool worthy.

South Porch Antiques

This little business has always been one of my go-to places to visit at any of the Country Living Fairs or at Brimfield Flea Market. I first found their shop in 2014 at the Country Living Fair in New York.  They have an amazing knack for display and a great eye for design. During the past year, they have expanded the sale of their products to include not only a website but also Instagram.  You can find them on Instagram by searching @southporch. Be prepared to be impressed with the layout of merchandise on their Instagram feed.

The Cotton Shed

The Cotton Shed (Kerri and Lucas) started their business in 2015 and they have some of the most unique and diverse inventory! They sell a wide variety of vintage and antique items that have a farmhouse feel to them. They also have a space at many shows including the Country Living Fair, Vintage Pickin and Luckettts Spring Market.  I particularly love their architectural pieces. Also, I always find something unexpected that I can’t resist buying. You can also find them on Instagram with “Shop our set up” by searching @thecottonshed.

Dreamy Whites

I first stumbled across Maria’s website in 2010.  I found a photo she had taken of an enormous step ladder and I was in love.  Later, I learned that she sold (and continues to sell) French Antiques.  Her photography is amazing and it makes me want to quit my day job and move to France. Over the years I have purchased many items from her including a pair of French bistro chairs.  I also buy gifts for other people from her store.  You can find her on Instagram @dreamywhiteslifestyle.

These are some of the stores that I turn to when buying vintage and antique items online. Each one has something unique to offer and they all provide great customer service.  I hope you like them as much as I do.
