I woke up on Wednesday morning to a flock of wild turkeys in our backyard. That was a great way to start the day. They wandered through our yard to reach a nearby bird feeder. I always appreciate small moments like that.
I am always writing things down in a notebook. This includes ideas for blog posts, to do lists, things I don’t want to forget, and even the odd doodle or two. As a result, I am always on the look out for affordable yet cute hard cover notebooks.
These ones from Target fit the bill.
I have started pulling out the larger pots to fill with potting soil and flowers. The quality of the potting soil makes a big difference in whether or not the plants thrive or simply survive. Generally, I avoid artificial fertilizers since they don’t increase the quality of the soil. These potting soils by the Coast of Maine have always performed well. I usually buy the 2 cubic foot bags.
Now that the weather is starting to warm up, I can work on furniture outside. Whenever I am painting or sanding furniture, I use moving blankets for a drop cloth. Then when I am done, I toss them into the washing machine and then reuse them for either moving furniture, painting furniture or sanding furniture. These blankets are thicker than most drop cloths and serve a dual purpose. Here is link to some on Amazon. For less than $21, it’s a good investment.
Finally, a quick round up of the blog this week.
I shared the story of our new entry table from City Farmhouse. It made the trip from Tennessee to New York.
Also, there were some ideas on how to embrace the short spring season and enjoy it while it is here.
Wishing you all a Happy Friday and lovely weekend. Thank you for stopping by the blog today.
