First off, Happy Easter to you and your family. I hope this weekend you are able to spend some time with those you love and celebrate the season.
It is so wonderful to see flowers and bulbs starting to bloom. This week I went to Trader Joes and purchased some ranunculus to brighten the dining room table. Speaking of Trader Joe’s, they have spring recipes and natural egg dying techniques on their website. So, it’s definitely worth checking out. Perfect if you need some inspiration for a quick Easter brunch.
Do you follow Ruth at Southern Junkers Vintage Market on Instagram? First, she has the most amazing field of bulbs blooming outside of her 1905 home. Secondly, Ruth has a fox family living near by and the mama fox seems to visit her on occasion. Lucky for us, Ruth takes photos of these events and shares them with us on her Instagram account.
Have you heard of Forever Home Greyhound Adoption? This organization places greyhounds into loving homes. This is what their website says: “Forever Home Greyhound Adoptions is a group of very close friends who banded together in an effort to help as many retired racers as possible. We are a not for profit organization whose sole interest is helping the Greys find the perfect Forever Home.” Well, I took the leap and submitted an application for adoption. Let’s see what happens. My best companion and closest friend, a Whippet named Kaely, passed away about three years ago and now I feel it’s time to bring another dog into my life. However, adoption can be complicated and it takes time to find the best fit for both dog and owner. Wish me luck as I go on this journey.
Finally, I found the sweetest antique painting of pansies in the perfect chippy antique gold frame! It’s just perfect for this time of year. Here is a short video for you to watch.
Wishing you all a Happy Easter.
