I have decided to start sharing more of the things that I encounter during the week that inspire me, make my life better, or that I find useful. These are random items and not necessarily related to farmhouse furniture or finds. However, I thought you might find these items useful and inspiring too.
1. Tea from Trader Joe’s. In New York, the days are still especially cold. So, I find myself rummaging through the cupboard to make a cup of tea. Lately, I have been drinking a lot of this Ginger Turmeric Tea.
2. With the weather still being ridiculously cold and with all the snow and ice on the ground, these LL Bean boots are on my feet almost all the time. My current pair is 4 years old and I think I may need to replace them soon.
3. Have you listened to The Great Indoors podcast? Oh my gosh. It’s excellent for a long car ride. (Or – really- any time) The two designers have very different styles and are hysterical. Plus, I love their British accents. The podcast is a celebration of all things interior plus everything you need to make your house a home. (Am I the only one who loves that sofa they are sitting on?)
4. Have you been following Melissa @jadeitjunkie on Instagram? Her photos give me hope that spring is just around the corner. Soon, I can put those boots away.

5. Did you know that both the Barred Owl and Great Horned Owl lay their eggs in January and February so that they raise their young now? Those little owlets must be so cold! I am inspired by the spirit of these owlets during this cold and snowy time of year.
