As of today, upstate New York has a solid covering of snow on the ground from some recent storms. It’s the kind of snow with a crust because we have had warmer temperatures during the day and freezing temperatures at night. When we go outside, it tends to be for the shortest period of time possible, particularly in the mornings when the temperature can be in the single digits.
During the night, the skies have been clear so you can see the stars and the moon. Our bird feeder in the backyard resembles Grand Central Station where there are at least 6 birds eating seed at any given moment.
All of this is to say, that it is quite Christmasy around here. There are still some final preparations to be made but we are mostly ready for the Holiday.
Tree decorated? Check. Twinkles lights on? Check.
Christmas cookies in the house? Check. Fresh evergreen bouquets in the house? Check.
Stockings hung? Check.
Presents wrapped and under the tree? Still working on that…
From Sky Lark House to you – we wish you a very Merry Christmas. We hope you enjoy this beautiful time of year.
