This project can be made in an hour or less. There are a number of optional steps, which I have highlighted below. If you incorporate the optional steps, the project may take a bit longer.

All of these supplies can be purchased at your local craft store or big box store such as Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Target or Walmart. Additionally, the small canvases can be purchased at the Dollar Tree – a three pack for $1.25. Where possible, I have provided links to online sources.

Step 1: Print out Victorian Easter Bunny Graphics

These free images came from the Graphics Fairy! She has an amazing selection of free images that can be downloaded and used for a variety of projects. The images below should print out to a 4 x6 and a 6 x4 inch size. To make the garland, print out 3 copies of each image below. Simply right click on the image and save it to your device. If you don’t own a printer, you can print it at Staples or Office Max.

Happy Easter Vintage Graphic

Cut them out using a pair of scissors. Each graphic will be either 4×6 or 6×4 inches. The same size as your canvas boards.

Step 2: Apply Glue to Canvas Boards

Using the Rubber Cement, apply a coat of glue to the canvas panel. Note, it is important to use Rubber Cement to ensure the paper won’t bubble.

Attach the cut out Victorian Easter Bunny graphic to the top of each canvas.

Step 3: Sand the Edges of the Canvas Board

Once the glue has dried and the image is attached to the canvas board, gently sand off any paper extending beyond the edges of the canvas board. I recommend using 120 – 150 grit sandpaper or a sanding block. This ensures the edges of the canvas are tidy.

Step 4: Apply Glass Glitter

Finally, using a small craft brush, apply a small amount of Mod Podge glue to the Easter eggs shown in the images. While the glue is still wet, sprinkle on some glass glitter.

Apply glass glitter to the eggs

To allow for easier clean up, I applied the glitter over a pieces of aluminum foil. Repeat this process for all 6 images.

Use clothes pins to hang the canvas boards on some yarn, twine or rope.

Optional Steps

Protect the Victorian Easter Bunny Images

This step is entirely optional but will help your canvas images last longer. Apply Mod Podge to the entire exterior of the Victorian Easter Bunny graphics for a more durable finish. This may cause some bubbles to form in the paper. If so, simply use your fingers to press out any bubbles or wrinkles. When the paper dries, any remaining bubbles or wrinkles will be less visible.

Hanging the Victorian Easter Bunny Images

If you don’t want to use clothes pins to hang the canvases, you can use a drill and a small drill bit to make a hole in the top center of each image. Then use Christmas ornament hooks to hang the Victorian Easter Bunny Garland images.

Glitter or Gold Pens

You can also use standard glitter in place of German glass glitter. “Fine” grade glitters would work the best. Similarly, you can embellish the images with gold or silver paint pens. The options are limitless.

End Result

Below are some images of the easy Victorian Easter Bunny Garland. It was such a fun project to create and is perfect for any spring decor.
